Bite of Seattle returns this year, bigger than ever before with more events and vendors.

A food-focused free community event, Bite of Seattle attracts foodies and food-vendors alike to Seattle Center in a celebration of local restaurants and delicacies.

New this year is "Munchies @ the Mural," which will offer unique snack-oriented selections. On Friday night at 8:30 p.m., catch the film "A League of Their Own" being screened in the mural area. Vendors will be open for moviegoers to grab a snack before the show begins.

This is in addition to the over 60 food vendors and restaurants attending the event to showcase some of the best, tastiest, and most unique cuisine Seattle has to offer.

In "The Alley" you can find local restaurants creating a six-course sampler for $20. Each day the restaurants will rotate, creating a new, exciting menu every day of the festival. Proceeds from this portion of the event will benefit Food Lifeline, a Western Washington nonprofit that diverts food surplus and waste to food banks, shelters, and meal programs.

Food isn't the only spotlight at the event. Dozens of beer and cider breweries will be offering tastings in the Seattle Center Armory and an outdoor beer garden will be available at the event. Several local craft breweries will be present.

On top of all this, local chefs will be conducting culinary shows and step-by-step cooking demos at the event. Several sessions will be available for each chef, so don't miss out on learning a new kitchen skill.

After grabbing your food, hang out and listen to live music. Over 80 live bands will be performing throughout the weekend.

Bite of Seattle takes place July 20-22 at the Seattle center. Tickets and more info can be found on the Bite of Seattle website.
