A preview of live music in Seattle ahead of Capitol Hill Block Party

As one of the best music festivals within city limits begins this weekend, get ready for great live music - KEXP Music That Matters

SEATTLE — A preview to this year's Capitol Hill Block Party line-up below, and more live music to check out this week.

Wed, 7/17 at 8:00 PM, We Were Promised Jetpacks at Neumos

Scottish rockers We Were Promised Jetpacks came out with their fourth album The More I Sleep The Less I Dream came out last fall. You can watch them at Neumos this Wednesday at 8:00 PM.

Thurs, 7/18, at 8:00 PM, The Raconteurs at WaMu Theater

Jack White and The Raconteurs will be at WaMu Theater Thursday night at 8:00 PM. Their new album Help Us Stranger is their first release in 11 years. 

Fri - Sun, 7/19-7/21, Capitol Hill Block Party in Capitol Hill

With one of the best festivals within city limits, Capitol Hill Block Party features a ton of great artists like Lizzo, Jungle, and more.

Sat, 7/20, Vagabon at Capitol Hill Block Party

Vagabon will be at Capitol Hill Block Party on Saturday, but before that, she will be stopping by KEXP for a session on Friday at 1:00 PM. Laetitia Tamko goes by the stage name Vagabon and is a Cameroon-born, multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and producer. She is currently based in New York City. 

Fri, 7/19, Phantogram at Capitol Hill Block Party

Phantogram will also play Capitol Hill Block Party on Friday. The main stage is located on Pike St. so be sure to check out the festival for a great time.

Sat, 7/20 at 9:00 PM, Deerhunter and Dirty Projectors at Showbox SoDo

A great double bill of Deerhunter and Dirty Projectors will play at the Showbox Sodo on Saturday. Deerhunter's new album Why Hasn't Everything Already Disappeared is on 4AD records. Both bands are excellent live performers.
