New short film Asylum co-directed by Tacoma native, Melinda Raebyne explores two major social issues

SEATTLE - Tacoma-based actor Melinda Raebyne and co-director of the short film Asylum visits New Day. Asylum is a fictional story based on true events that explores the connection between two major social issues: domestic violence and mental illness. Raebyne known for her lead role in "Tapat Sa Pngako" which debuted at Cannes Film Festival shares the powerful message behind her film: "You are not Alone; I see You and I Hear You." She shares with Margaret how the film came to be, how others can get involved and what her first experience as a director has been like.
