The 46th year of the Chilly Hilly bicycle ride stretched across Bainbridge Island Sunday.
Most riders took the ferry from Colman Dock in Seattle.
The Cascade Bicycle Club organizes the ride, which serves as the unofficial start of the bicycle riding season. Organizers said riders climb 2,191 feet during the 33-mile ride.
About 2,500 riders were registered by early Sunday morning.
There are no road closures during the ride.
Vehicle capacity on the ferry may be limited heading to Bainbridge Island Sunday morning. It may also be limited between 11:45 a.m. and 3 p.m. coming back to Seattle, according to Washington State Ferries.
