After more than three years of planning, Delta Airlines unveiled their new uniforms to employees based in Seattle on Monday.
The line was designed by Zac Posen and includes several different choices for every member of their staff. Women can choose from comfortable stretchy dresses, pant suits, and sweater sets.
Careful thought was put into the design of each uniform. Designers spent a lot of time asking employees for their input. For example, there are additional buttons placed in the bust line of the women’s blouses to ensure that the shirts don’t gape. The men’s suit coats have special pockets for passports.
Delta has also re-designed the “below wing” uniforms. Detail was put into lightweight material and reflective tape to ensure safety and comfort for ground crews.
The new line embodies the style of fashion icon Posen, and all the uniforms have a classic look of the golden age of flying.
