Donors lined up outside the Bloodworks Northwest center in Olympia on Monday to support victims of a fatal Amtrak derailment.

The City of Lacey tweeted Monday morning that St. Peter’s Hospital was requesting blood donations as soon as possible to help treat patients.

“If you are in the area, or passing through, please consider donating,” the city’s account tweeted.

Bloodworks Northwest has already provided over 150 units of blood to area hospitals to help victims of the train derailment. Click here to find a donation site or mobile blood drive to help.

Washington State Patrol set up a reunification center at DuPont City Hall for anyone concerned about loved ones on the train. They are asking that you do not go to the scene of the derailment. Anyone with questions about their friends and family on train 501 should call 800-523-9101.
