PAWS is taking in another 60 dogs, cats, puppies and kittens from overcrowded shelters in Merced, California. They arrived Wednesday afternoon at Paine Field in Everett.
The animals will be quarantined and given check ups before they can be put up for adoption. That could happen as early as Saturday.
Kittens and puppies too young for adoption will go to foster families until they're old enough.
PAWS relies on private donations. The average cost of care for each of these animals is $380. You can donate at PAWS.org.
