Seahawks defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson has been traded to the Minnesota Vikings, the team announced Friday.
“The #1 defense just got better!” the Vikings tweeted.
Richardson agreed to a one-year deal with Vikings, according to NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
The free agent was in Minnesota this week for a visit with the team brass, as reported by Pro Football Talk.
Richardson came to the Seahawks in 2017 after four seasons with the New York Jets.
He finished the 2017-18 season with 44 total tackles, including 27 solo, and one sack.
