TUKWILA, Wash. — Four lanes of I-5 southbound near Tukwila are closed due to a semi-truck accident, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
Traffic is getting by in the HOV lane, according to WSDOT.
The semi-truck is overturned and blocking almost the entire road near State Route 518. The closure is expected to last for several hours. Drivers are asked to prepare for "lengthy delays."
The southbound I-405 and SR 518 ramps to southbound I-5 are also closed due to the accident.
The Renton, Tukwila, Puget Sound, King County and Port of Seattle fire departments all have units responding to the scene.
