SEATTLE - Seahawks tight end Luke Willson tweeted a photo from a hospital bed Tuesday as he recovers from a knee injury suffered in Sunday's win over the Falcons.
Head coach Pete Carroll said Monday surgery may be required for some cartilage damage and stretched ligaments. He specifically mentioned Willson's MCL.
"Thanks 12s for all the well wishes. The healing started today and if all goes well, I'll be back helping the @Seahawks in no time!" Willson tweeted.
The timetable for his return is not yet known.
Defensive end Michael Bennett also suffered a knee injury on a cut block Sunday. Carroll said it did not appear major.
