Washington firefighter training sessions canceled due to government shutdown
The federal government shutdown could end up making the wildfire season worse. The State Lands Commissioner says the Department of Natural Resources has had to cancel firefighter training sessions because of the budget fight in D.C. As South Bureau Chief Drew Mikkelsen reports, Washington's Commissioner hopes the federal shutdown will help her get more money from lawmakers in Olympia.
