SEATTLE — Making a list of places to hit for Seattle Restaurant Week? Add Andare Kitchen & Bar at Hyatt Regency Seattle. This fast-casual restaurant is relatively new to the city's food scene and already is known for its Northwest twist on Italian fare.
For Seattle Restaurant Week (which is actually two weeks this year, going from Oct. 27 through Nov. 7), Andare Kitchen & Bar is offering a full menu of their specialties and some new fall fare.
Perfect-for-fall entrees include Shrimp Scampi with Mushroom Risotto, and a 7 oz. Ribeye with a confit of tomato and wood roasted fingerling potatoes. Their wood fire oven is the centerpiece of the restaurant, and you will not go wrong ordering anything cooked in that fire and smoke.
No Restaurant Week outing is complete without a cocktail. The Fall Equinox combines Glenlivet, Mezcal, Courviosier VS, Earl Grey tea and an egg white for a not too sweet drink that's perfect for sweater weather. The Dark Negroni will bring your spritzer habit into autumn with local barrel finished gin from Fremont Mischief, along with Amaro and Campari. The Orange Cranberry Spritz is an alcohol free fall favorite.
Of course the $35 Restaurant Week Dinner also includes an appetizer and a dessert, and there are many choices - from Andare's signature meatballs, to Pizza Fritta, small pizza dough turnovers stuffed with ricotta and full of flavor.
Reservations are welcome, and Andare Kitchen & Bar has walk-in seating as well. Bring an appetite, don't worry about taking out a lot of cash. This is one of the best feasts you'll find for Seattle Restaurant Week.
