SEATTLE — KING 5 announced Jessica Janner Castro and Greg Copeland will anchor KING 5 News at 4 p.m. starting March 2.
The anchor team will be joined by meteorologist Craig Herrera every weekday, and will continue to provide audiences with more evening news coverage than any other broadcaster in Seattle.
“I’m excited for the launch of the KING 5 News at 4 p.m.! We hope to bring our viewers an energetic, smart and informative newscast,” Janner Castro said. “There are increasingly more issues to analyze, problems to solve and inspirational stories to share. We want to reflect our viewers from around the region and spark important conversations about what it means to live in the Pacific Northwest.”
“I’m thrilled to be a part of KING 5 News at 4 p.m., which will be a good mix of fast-paced news with moments of levity our late afternoon viewers will appreciate,” Copeland added.
Janner Castro joined KING 5 in November 2019. Previously, Janner Castro anchored morning newscasts in San Francisco. Before that she worked as an anchor in Las Vegas and Amarillo, Texas.
Copeland is a Pacific Northwest native and has worked as an anchor for KING 5 for the past decade.
