TACOMA, Wash. -- Travis Howse doesn't like thinking about his father's last moments.
It's just a tragedy, there's no other way to see it, said Howse.
His father, Larry Howse was shot and killed in the parking lot of his Tacoma apartment complex August 31.
A police spokesperson said the 54-year-old was robbed and killed, at random.
Detectives believe two men followed Howse's car into the parking lot after he had entered his code for the security gate.
The whole thing is senseless, said Howse's sister, Julie Cryderman.
She wants the killers caught as soon as possible, to hold the men accountable and to protect the public.
It seems like it's an evil world and we're feeling the pain of it this time but next time it could be anyone else, said Cryderman.
Tacoma-Pierce County Crimestoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward in this case.
The two suspects are described as two black males in their early 20's with medium build.
One man wore a white shirt and dark pants, and hasa light complexion.
The other had a dark shirt and dark pants on and may have had an afro or short braids.
