SEATTLE — Since 2010 El Centro de la Raza has held a Christmas tree sale to support 43 of its community programs that serve people of all ages.
The first year, the team moved about 200 trees off the lot, but now, it sells thousands of trees.
People drive an hour or more to Beacon Hill just to buy their annual tree, according to El Centro de la Raza. They do this so they can support the non-profit organization.
The center's associate director, Miguel Maestas, said this sale is the nonprofit's biggest fundraiser. Its success helps continue crucial programming for children, teens, families and seniors.
