SHELTON, Wash. -- Police have identified a suspect in the shooting deaths of two people found in a Shelton home Monday.
They say Charles Sidney Longshore, 22, is responsible for the deaths of Tyler W. Drake, 19, and Anitrea (Roxy) Leigh Taber, 37, both of Shelton.
Police say Longshore was at the home to collect a debt and ended up killing Drake and Taber.
It s not clear if Longshore was owed the money or if he was collecting for someone else. Drake apparently owed the money and it s not clear if Taber knew anything about the debt.
The bodies were found just after 1 a.m. Monday. Hours later, Shelton Police, working with Mason County deputies and state troopers, raided the home just across the alley from the murder scene
While police had their guns drawn, a number of children came out of the home. No one was hurt.
But it took tear gas to get the man and woman police were looking for to come out.
Police say the couple have information about the case. The man called 911.
Whether his involvement or participation in this is criminal, I don t know at this point, but we believe he has some information at minimum, said Lt. Les Watson, Mason County Sheriff's Office.
Police say the victims likely knew the killer, and drugs may have played a role.
Mason County coroner Wes Stockwell said autopsies are scheduled for Tuesday.
