KIRKLAND, Wash. — Many people’s kitchen cabinets have dishes and cookware stacked on top of each other with items lost in the back and hard to reach. This was the case for Paula Walker of Kirkland.
“As I got older, I couldn’t get down to the lower cabinets, so I didn’t even know what was left under there,” Paula said.
ShelfGenie offers customized pull-out shelves to easily organize items and allow customers access to everything.
“She (Paula) had mentioned wanting access to things, and said, ‘I would use things more if I had access to it,’ and we wanted to make that a reality for her,” said Theresa Bowman of ShelfGenie.
The company can customize shelving to the nearest millimeter to help customers utilize all of their space. ShelfGenie can also create a second level of shelves for more storage and easier access.
“I can access things that I couldn’t before, and I find that I’m using dishes that I had that I never used before,” Paula said.
ShelfGenie developed a 3D rendering of Paula’s new cabinet designs, which allowed her to visualize her space. An installer visits the home after a customer approves the design, usually within seven days. Shelves are then made in the U.S. and installed within 8 to 10 weeks.
“Mine was even less, and the installation was a breeze,” Paula said.
