SHORELINE, Wash. — Everyone could use a little help at the pump these days, and Verizon aims to spread the love with surprise gas cards.
“We started our Call for Kindness campaign back in 2020 because there was a lot going on, and we thought we can spread a little kindness,” said Kacie Holder of Verizon.
The company painted murals across the country and partnered with small businesses to surprise and delight customers. With New Day NW, Verizon surprised unknowing customers (and viewers!) with a full tank of gas for free.
If you’re not currently a customer now, Verizon offers a Welcome Unlimited 5G plan at $30 per month for four lines. If you bring your own device, you get an additional $240 Verizon e-gift card per line.
“When most people think about Verizon, they may not necessarily think about value, but that was what we were trying to do today is kind of change that perspective a little bit,” Holder said.
Many people pay monthly for one or more of the many streaming services available. Verizon’s premium unlimited plans like 5G Play More and 5G Get More include Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ and more. With any of the 5G premium unlimited plans, customers qualify for home internet with no data caps, no equipment charges, and taxes and fees included for just $25 a month.
With the Verizon Visa Card, card holders can earn 4 percent in rewards on gas purchases at any time
“That’s a big deal,” Holder said. “With how our high gas prices have been this year, that can actually add up really quickly.”
Card holders can earn rewards in the form of Verizon Dollars that can then be used to pay your monthly wireless bill, book travel and pay for gift cards.
“A lot of people don’t really think about value when they think about Verizon because they don’t know what we have,” Holder said. “But there’s a lot of great things out there for everyone.”
