NEW YORK — The 2023 Heisman Trophy Ceremony will be held Saturday night, and the University of Washington's starting quarterback is among the four finalists for the coveted college football award.
Michael Penix Jr. is up for the 89th Heisman Trophy, and is in New York for the ceremony along with Louisiana State University quarterback Jayden Daniels, University of Oregon quarterback Bo Nix and Ohio State University wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.
Penix is the only finalist who led his team to an undefeated season and a spot in the College Football Playoff. The Huskies will take on the University of Texas Longhorns in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1 for a chance at playing in the CFP National Championship Game.
