PHOENIX -- Looking at a scrapbook in his Phoenix home, Dave Krieg looked back on a great career.

"The good thing about this scrapbook is this is all the good things and not all the bad things that reporters said about me," Krieg said with a laugh.

Krieg played in Seattle as a quarterback for more than a decade before he went on to play for a few more teams prior to retirement. Krieg said his years in Seattle were the best of his career.

"The 12th Man is the best fan base in the NFL. And I've played for a few teams in the NFL, so I know that," Krieg said.

Krieg didn't want to talk a lot about his run as quarterback for the Hawks, rather choosing to focus on this year's squad.

"The chemistry and the camaraderie reminds me of what we had in the 1980's, even though we didn't get to the Super Bowl. It's all about the camaraderie and team chemistry," Krieg said. "They're all individuals, but they come together at the right time."

Krieg said he has been very impressed with the continual growth of Russell Wilson, even after winning a Super Bowl.

"Very mature, poised under pressure, wise beyond his years," Krieg said of Wilson.

Krieg will be at the game when the Seahawks take on the Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX.
