A bear was spotted running through a neighborhood in Factoria on Monday afternoon. The bear climbed a fence and ran through a backyard before bolting towards the busy Coal Creek Pkwy.
The bear was last spotted in a grove of trees near Newport Covenant Church.
KING 5 worked with Bellevue's NORCOMM 911 on the bear's latest whereabouts. The last sighting of the bear was just before 1:30 p.m. near SE 44th St. and 124th Ave. SE.
As of Monday evening, no more sightings of the black bear had been reported. If you see a bear in your neighborhood, keep your distance and contact the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
