I joined as KING 5 as the South Bureau Chief in 2007. The job requires me to live in Olympia, and I love it.
Other than a delicious stint at the Bellevue Square Cinnabon, I have only worked in newsrooms and have no plans on finding a new workplace (unless the SF Giants are looking for a new center fielder).
I wrote a sports column at Newport High School and after graduating from the UW, began my TV news career in Yakima.
I've been thrilled to have a front row seat for history while working, watching casinos implode in Las Vegas and volcanoes erupt near Portland, Oregon.
Career highlights? A tie. Traveling with the Seahawks to New York in 2014 to see them dominate the Super Bowl AND tagging along on a field trip of a lifetime with Tacoma's Lincoln High School ... to China! I love my job!
I believe in a work hard/play hard philosophy. When I'm not at work I love spending time with my wife and two girls. If the Giants or Huskies are on TV, I'm likely parked on the couch.
