What a joy to be part of the KING 5 team! I’m excited to live in and explore the Pacific Northwest.
Prior to moving to Seattle, I worked in San Francisco where I anchored the morning newscast at the Disney/ABC owned and operated station KGO-TV. Before that, I worked as an anchor at KTNV-TV in Las Vegas and KAMR-TV in Amarillo, Texas.
I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but I’ve spent most of my life living in the U.S. on the West Coast. My family moved to Southern California when I was about 7 years old. I grew up in a multilingual household and I speak both Portuguese and Spanish.
For undergrad I went to the University of Southern California, where I studied Broadcast Journalism at the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. I also have a Master’s Degree in National Security and International Affairs from American Military University.
Throughout my career, I’ve always been involved in my communities and have participated with various volunteer organizations. I’ve dedicated hundreds of hours to non-profit organizations including Girls on the Run, Dress for Success, the Muscular Dystrophy Association and CASA for Children.
I love the outdoors and am looking forward to exploring the beautiful Evergreen State! When I’m not looking for great news stories, I enjoy playing tennis, sailing, hiking, swimming, cycling, Latin dancing and painting. I also love to travel and have visited more than 20 countries!
