I’m Natalie Swaby. I’m a reporter and fill-in anchor for KING 5.
Prior to joining KING 5 in 2010, I worked as an investigative reporter and weekend morning anchor at KOAT in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Before that I was a consumer reporter at WMTV in Madison, Wisconsin. My first job in broadcast journalism was at KEPR in Tri-Cities, Washington.
I’m a proud Arizona State University graduate. I earned a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Over the years, I’ve been honored to receive several awards, including two Emmy Awards for May Day Coverage and an Emmy for a story about Seattle’s homelessness crisis. In New Mexico, I was recognized as Reporter of the Year from the New Mexico Broadcasters Association, and I received first place from the New Mexico Associated Press for a story about identity theft.
I live in Seattle with my husband and two daughters.
