SEATTLE — Founded in 2009, the Seattle Latino Film Festival (SLFF) kicked off off its 16th celebration of cinema and art on Friday.
The founder, Jorge Enrique Gonzalez Pacheco, stopped by the KING 5 studios on Saturday, a day after SLFF 2024 kicked off.
The festival features a variety of genres, including documentaries, feature films, and shorts. It often includes Q&A sessions with filmmakers, panel discussions, and other related events to engage the community and provide a platform for Spanish, Portuguese, and Indigenous voices in cinema.
Gonzalez Pacheco said this is a great opportunity to learn about various cultures, art and languages.
SLFF attracts a diverse demographic, according to the founder. Since the first festival in 2009, more than 1,000 film-lovers have attended each year.
