Recent Grammy winner and Pacific Northwest native Brandi Carlile surprised fans Saturday afternoon for a pop-up concert with Dave Grohl and other bandmates.
The pair performed at Pike Place Market near the iconic fish market.
"So.... rumor has it we're maybe going busking at Pike place right now... see you soon fish!!" Carlile posted to Instagram a few minutes before shoppers spotted the performers.
Dozens of onlookers circled the singers for a special performance that only lasted about 15 minutes.
Fans grabbed pictures afterward, several mentioning their shock and delight at running into the talents.
Carlile's Facebook page went live at 3:30 p.m., showing a couple of minutes of the performance.
But just as quickly as it started, the performers stayed for a few pictures and left.
Several people that saw the excitement on social media rushed down the Pike Place, just missing Carlile and Grohl.
