Two strangers were on the fast track to love after their fellow train passengers played Cupid.
Jason Miller and Lauren Balisky shared a daily commute on the Sounder train from Everett to Seattle. The train conductor and other regulars on the route went into matchmaking mode and devised a plan for the two to meet.
The plan worked and the pair found romance on the rails. Soon, they were engaged and planning a wedding.
It became clear to the couple that the Sounder train should play a key role in their big day.
Lauren said, "We were kind of looking at timing and venues, and everything else. And it kind of just seemed really appropriate to celebrate this part of our relationship and, even though it's bit of an odd duck thing, I don't know that we do anything properly."
The couple picked Everett Station as their wedding venue and asked a judge who shared their daily Sounder commute to officiate.
Conductors and fellow passengers attended Tuesday's ceremony in Everett as the couple vowed to choo-choose each other forever.
One guest shared, "I thought it was the most adorable wedding I've ever been to. It was super cute, I was so excited for Lauren and Jason to get married."
"Every story is unique," bride Lauren said. "It just seemed like, you know, a church setting isn't us, going to a building that we haven't spent a lot of time in isn't us. And really, the bulk of our relationship has either been at our house, where we can't accommodate everybody — or it's been at the train. So why not come to the train?"
Arte & Love Photography captured the newlyweds on their wedding day as the couple's love story keeps chugging along.
