Hot Chocolate Run takes over Seattle Center to benefit Special Olympics

The "sweet" event offers 5k, 10k and 15k races all starting Sunday morning March 3.

SEATTLE — The 2024 Hot Chocolate Run Seattle is set to take off with three races on Sunday, March 3.

The 5k, 10k and 15k races will start and finish at Seattle Center. This is the 13th time the "sweet" races will take place in the Emerald City.

An expo is happening from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 2, at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall on Mercer Street.

On race day, March 3, the 5k takes off at 7 a.m. and the 10k and 15k will start at 7:55 a.m.

Runners will receive a long-sleeve running top for registering. Post-race offerings include a finisher's mug filled with hot chocolate, chocolate candy, and chocolate fondue.

Proceeds from the race will benefit Special Olympics.
