Organizers say the two-day event will be packed with music, art, and culture.

SNOHOMISH, Wash. — A non-profit arts organization is gearing up for its big two-day event.

The Snohomish Block Party is set for Friday, Aug. 23, and Aug. 24, in historic downtown Snohomish.

There is no admission to shop and browse the street fair and farmers' market. There is also no charge for parents to bring their children to check out the "kids zone."

Tickets will be required for certain musical performances and the 21 and over dance party.

The goal of the event is to empower artists and maintain partnerships with local businesses, artists and community groups.

According to organizers - work by the Snohomish Block Party "provides a dedicated space for talented young musicians to share their creativity and passion, while also providing financial support to programs that foster this abundance."
