When challenged by Seahawks fans at a concert last week, Sully Erna got creative to talk down the 'Hawks and talk up his New England Patriots.

SEATTLE – The lead singer for alternative band Godsmack talked some profanity-laden smack about the Seattle Seahawks – and did it inside Seahawks country.

During a concert in Yakima last week, the Massachusetts-based band and lead singer Sully Erna used profanity to disparage the ‘Hawks and talk up the undefeated New England Patriots.

It started after some fans in the crowd chanted "SEA-HAWKS" and one allegedly yelled "(Expletive) the Pats."

That's when Erna fired back, using some vulgar language we can't repeat here to describe the Seahawks.

"Who's (expletive) undefeated right now? New England Patriots are, that's right," said Erna. "You started it. We're going to go undefeated this year and you guys are not because you can't because you already lost a bunch of games."

The Patriots are 8-0. The Seahawks are 4-4.

He then broke into a short song about the Seahawks, continuing to use vulgar language throughout.

That caused fans to re-start the "SEA-HAWKS" chant which, in turn, sent Erna back into song.

"They're not even going to make the playoffs. No (expletive) way. They're a big fluke and they're going away today," Erna sang.

As fans booed, Erna told them to "Settle down, you freaks."

Not all the fans seemed to disagree with Erna. Many could be heard cheering during the song-rant.

Here's a video of the exchange and song (Warning: Graphic language).
