The Butcher's Table is not your average steakhouse

The Seattle restaurant focuses on quality over quantity. #k5evening

SEATTLE — Seattle's South Lake Union is home to a modern steakhouse serving up an exceptional culinary experience.

The Butcher's Table specializes in prime cut steaks. The menu features Mishima Reserve American Wagyu Beef which is known for its marbling and tenderness. Another thing that sets this restaurant apart from other steakhouse is the portion size. You won't find any steak over 8 ounces. Chef Morgan Mueller believes in quality over quantity.

The restaurant also has its own Butcher Shop. The same cuts of meat you'll find in the dining room are available to buy and cook in your own home. That includes the popular $5 Wagyu burgers!

While steak is the restaurant's bread and butter, The Butcher's Table is also known for its seafood. The menu features a rotating selection of salmon, sea scallops and raw bar. When we visited oysters fresh from British Columbia and Yellowtail were on the menu.

The cocktail menu also changes seasonally with summer favorites like the Watermelon Sugar and the Sweet Peach Tea. They also have a selection of non-alcoholic options.

The Butcher's Table first opened in 2016 and is owned by the same company behind the award-winning Beecher's Handmade Cheese. The newest addition to the restaurant is a private event space. The Gold Dust Room features a jeweled-colored lounge, vintage pool table and views of downtown Seattle.

The Butcher's Table is open Monday - Saturday for dinner and Tuesday - Friday for lunch. It's located at 2121 Westlake Avenue in Seattle.
