This mini museum in Everett might make you hungry

The Snackin' Shack is a celebration of rare sweet and salty treats. #k5evening

EVERETT, Wash. — "Got some Starburst gummies in here," photographer Jaxen McInnis said as he dug into his pocket. "And I got some Twix over here, too."

McInnis has a sweet tooth and he's on a mission to share it with the world. He's the founder and curator of the Snackin' Shack in Everett, a one-car garage converted into a mini-museum, completely covered - all four walls, ceiling and floor - with a collection of hundreds of limited edition treats and marketing materials. You can also see his collection on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

"Good luck finding another one of these," he said, holding up a late-'90s beach towel featuring Keebler Elves.

Here, you'll find key lime Kit Kats, gingerbread Red Vines and cotton candy-flavored soda.

"It all started with Oreos. It's the first thing I had," McInnis said. "I love to have people check it out. That's really what it's here for in the long run. Anything edible I see at the store that's limited edition, I'm going for it. I'm grabbing it. Something about seeing the 'limited edition' on snacks that just makes me go crazy for them."

Most of the packages in McInnis' museum have never been opened, which is probably best for his health.

"If it's limited edition I'm getting it. Am I going to try it? Probably not," he explained.

They're all his sweet children, but he does have his favorites.

"This is the only collab Nike's done with a cereal brand," said McInnis, pointing out a limited edition of Fruity Pebbles adorned with the shoe giant's logo.

In fact, he loves Fruity Pebbles so much that he wears a hoodie with them printed on the back. And he hopes you'll find whatever you love here, too.

"Anyone is welcome," McInnis said. "Snacks are forever. Everybody eats snacks. It's going to last forever for me, for sure. I'll never stop collecting snacks."

The Snackin' Shack is open most Sundays after October 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. It's located at 2916 Hoyt Ave in Everett.
