At The Museum of Flight, crews are putting the finishing touches on a brand new exhibit that has everyone flying high.

“We're very excited,” said Erika Callahan-Hayes, VP of Marketing at The Museum of Flight. "This is Above and Beyond, it is a brand new interactive exhibit, and it’s the country's only appearance of the exhibit on the west coast.”

Above and Beyond is about aeronautical innovations both big and small. You can build then fly your own supersonic jet, pilot a drone into the eye of a hurricane, or take a virtual trip to Mars.

There's even an answer to the question we've all been asking in one display called Where's my Jet Pack? For the duration of this exhibit, which is May 28th through September 10th, it’s behind glass in Seattle!

“The jet pack’s pretty darn cool,” said Callahan-Hayes. “These are real artifacts. It's amazing what science is capable of enabling people to do and discover and build."

Above and Beyond is presented by Boeing.

"The Boeing Company, and its people, have been a part of the DNA of this museum since its inception 50 years ago," said Trip Switzer, VP of Development at The Museum of Flight.

The new exhibit is part of Boeing’s big birthday bash --

"We are so pleased and proud to be hosting this exhibit here, and to be hosting it through the peak months of the Boeing 100th anniversary, the Centennial, that will be celebrated here at The Museum of Flight in July,” added Switzer.

The party may have already started -- staffers at The Museum of Flight are having a blast with test flights for the new exhibit.

And based on what we saw from during our visit – grown men having fun pretending to be geese flying through the skies in one of the interactive displays -- we predict people will flock to Above and Beyond.

Above and Beyond is free with admission to The Museum of Flight.
