Bingo, trivia, and cheap drinks galore at this historic Queen Anne tavern - Five Star Dive Bars

Targy’s Tavern is a neighborhood establishment in upper Queen Anne.

SEATTLE — Slightly off the beaten path in the community of Upper Queen Anne, you'll find Targy’s Tavern.

It’s one of the most storied histories a neighborhood establishment can have. The building was built in 1902 out of timber exclusively cut and milled from Queen Anne hill. Originally, it was used as sleeping quarters for workers manning the horse-drawn counterbalance trolleys.

Over a century later, Seattle’s most historic neighborhood is thriving more than ever and Targy’s Tavern remains an iconic fixture.

“What I love about this place is that is like out big family living room,” said  Stacy Koontz.

“Is not just a bar, it’s Cheers for us,” said Cheryl Layton.

Serving beer and booze seven nights a week on top of Queen Anne.

Open daily from 4 pm to 2 am, and Happy Hour 7-days a week from 4 pm to 6 pm.

“You can get a lot with 10 dollars here,” said Kevin Kniestedt.

For entertainment, they have bingo nights on Tuesdays and trivia on Wednesdays.
