SEATTLE — At the Seattle International Auto Show, at Lumen Field Event Center, car buyers can do one stop shopping.
"Even if you're remotely thinking about a vehicle it's the best way to research things," says car expert Tom Voelk.
Here, visitors can find a dozen cars, fully loaded, for under $30-thousand. Like the Nissan Kicks.
"This one has a Bose sound system, a big panoramic sunroof, all wheel drive, a nice interior, it's roomy and it's $28 thousand," Voelk said.
You've heard of back up cameras. This one has a surround view camera, which we put to the test by having our own reporter sit directly in front of the car.
"Tom, how can I convince you not to pull forward right now?" Saint Bryan asked his long time friend.
"I don't know Saint," Voelk joked. " I don't think you can."
More cars have more screens these days.
"This has a birds eye camera view so there's a front view plus it looks like there's a drone above you looking down," Voelk said. "Great when you want to avoid things."
Just about every auto maker has shifted into the E-V market. Even makers of those big and bossy pick up trucks.
"The great thing about electric vehicles is that they can be a lot more efficient space wise so where the engine would normally be you've got storage space," Voelk said in front of a GMC Sierra E-V.
There are cars available for test drives here. If you're in the market, Voelk says shop the auto show first.
"The automotive industry has changed a lot in the last five years and there's a lot of new product that you probably don't know about," he said.
