Evening Raves: Jiminy Glick, 'A Quiet Place: Day One' and yoga

Evening hosts rave about their recent obsessions including Martin Short, movies and new exercises. #k5evening

SEATTLE —

Jim

I would like to shoutout to Jiminy Glick, the lovable character that was created by Martin Short over 20 years ago. He’s had appearances in movies over the years and he seems to be making a resurgence lately. I saw him interviewing Bill Maher on the Jimmy Kimmel show recently. I just think he is a delightful expression of the Hollywood reporter who’s an insider, who knows everything – but really doesn’t know anything.

Kim

I love “A Quiet Place: Day One” the movie that just came out, it’s the third in the series. I think it’s a brilliant way to approach the very beginning of this horror franchise. The main character played by Lupita Nyong’o is a woman who is in hospice, so she’s already facing her own mortality when then everyone must face theirs. Reviews are mixed, but mine is a rave!

Saint

My rave is for yoga. It’s a new practice that I’ve just started at the insistence of my Aunt Mimi. I want to be more flexible so that’s one reason I’m going to try to do this. It’s actually a pretty good workout and I will say it’s a good, quiet escape from the pressures of daily life. You get an hour of just working on yourself basically.
