Evening Raves: Selva Central Goods and Meryl Streep

Evening hosts share what they are currently obsessed with from food to TV shows to audio books. #k5evening

SEATTLE —

Kim:

I am going to rave about the deliciousness that Saint and I just discovered. This is a quesadilla if you were to order a quesadilla in El Salvador or Honduras. It is a baked good made by Mayra Sibrian who owns and operates Selva Central Goods. You can find her at the West Seattle Farmers Market on Sundays she focuses on Mexican and Central American baked goods. What's really great about this in addition to how it tastes it is gluten free, it is made with ricotta, queso fresco, parmesan and a little bit of honey. It is kind of a savory and sweet situation - it's very good.

Saint:

I want to rave about Meryl Streep. She's not only one of the best reasons to watch season three of "Only Murders in the Building" on Hulu but also I've been taking long walks and drives with Meryl thanks to Ann Patchett's audiobook a bestseller called "Tom Lake." It's about a mom who during the pandemic is telling her daughters about a love affair she had with a very famous movie star.

Most audio books are read to you, this one is performed and it is so cool just to have Meryl doing all the voices and acting the way Meryl acts. We know her so well, it's just so neat to be right with her. I'm only half way through the book but I can tell you this is one of my favorite experiences so far.
