BELLEVUE, Wash. — Hello Kitty has inspired generations of people around the world with her positive message of friendship and kindness.
In celebration of the pop icon’s 45th anniversary, Sanrio, the parent company of Hello Kitty, created a traveling pop-up experience to welcome even more fans into Hello Kitty’s world of happiness, friendship, and fun. It's called Hello Kitty Friends Around The World.
Their next stop? Right here in the Pacific Northwest.
“Fans will be able to meet and greet with Hello Kitty and take pictures and post them in social media,” said Staffing Manager Rozlynn Gomez.
Guests can expect a fully immersive, multi-sensory, walk-through experience that takes guests around the globe with Hello Kitty and her friends. The 10,000-square-foot space transports visitors into Hello Kitty’s versions of familiar cities like London, Paris, New York, Honolulu, and Tokyo.
“We actually see more adults than children here as it’s her 45th anniversary, a lot of people grew up with Hello Kitty," said Gomez.
A special addition for Bellevue includes the Hello Kitty Lodge, a Pacific Northwest themed lounge where guests can relax and purchase Hello Kitty treats and beverages once they complete the tour.
Tickets are timed to a walk-through tour and range between $22 and $50. Children under 3 years old get free admission.
