SEATTLE — Krav Maga Seattle in South Lake Union is giving you access to a wonder woman worthy workout!
We've all seen wonder woman kicking some serious tail, right? But how does she stay in such great shape? We might have figured out her secret right here in Seattle.
Krav Maga means contact combat in Hebrew. It is the official self-defense and combat system of the Israeli defense forces but as it turns out, it's for everyone.
"It's known for being really efficient, effective, aggressive and easy to learn," said Co-Owner of Krav Maga Seattle Catherine Le.
Maggie Nelson's been doing Krav Maga for about a year.
"I think elbow number two is probably my favorite. It's just the little side jab," said Maggie.
She said it's not just combat, it's an unusual comradery.
"It breaks down social boundaries because you're punching each other. You're putting each other in headlocks."
It often teaches people more about themselves than they expected.
"Be competitive. Be aggressive. It's really about aggression. So getting to the pad and hitting the pad, hitting that target as hard as you can. So it's an aggression drill."
It's about fighting but for Maggie, it's also about peace.
"The community's great. It's also nice to have the tools and the mindset to walk through life with a little more peace."
Krav Maga Seattle offers classes for all skill levels.
