From the oldest to the smallest and the greenest to the strongest, here's where to find some super superlatives in the Evergreen State!

We've rounded up some of our State's truly EPIC superlatives. From a burger that rivals the Leaning Tower of Pisa, to a grocer established in 1911, keep reading to learn more about the extremes that make the Northwest great!

The Tallest Burger

Burger Madness is reaching for the sky... one patty at a time! With locations in Seattle and Monroe, the home of the Northwest's tallest burger is famous for its Stack 'em Challenge: complete a burger of 12 or more patties, and it's on the house.

The Tallest and Largest Wood Structures

Brock Commons, at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, is the tallest mass timber building in the world. But did you know the Tacoma Dome is the largest wooden dome in the world?! It first hosted David Bowie in 1983.

The Steepest Road

East Roy Street in Seattle is an extreme block, a leg burner, and a local record holder all in one. At a whopping 26% grade, it's the steepest block in the City of Seattle.

The Smallest Property

A few years ago, a corner property in Capitol Hill was valued at less than $100 bucks. There was just one very small catch: at 11 square feet, it's no larger than a standard La-Z-Boy. It now exists as part of a new apartment building on the corner of Madison and Union.

The Smallest State Park

Ranald MacDonald's Grave State Park in Ferry County is just 100 square feet. It is the gravesite of a Native American man who became Japan's first English teacher.

The Greenest Roof

Would you believe us if we told you that the Puget Sound's greenest roof is on top of a parking garage? Well, it's the truth! The Gates Foundation's car structure is filled with drought-resistant plants, that thrive on rainwater alone.

The Largest Dead Bird Collection

Yes, you read that right! The Burke Museum in University District houses more than 100,000 feathered residents -- making it one of the largest of it's kind on Earth. It features both current and extinct species!

The Coldest Room

If it's not the coldest room in the world, it must be one of the coldest in the Northwest! Northwest Cryotherapy Institute is a Bellevue spot that puts your aches and pains on ice!

The Quietest Room

The anechoic (annick-OH-ick) chamber here in Building 87 at the Microsoft campus in Redmond is used to fine-tune audio functions on Microsoft products. At negative 20-point-3 decibels, you can hear the sound of your own blood flowing through your body -- officially making this Guinness' Quietest Place on Earth.

The Youngest Politician

Melanie Stambaugh was elected to the Washington State House of Representatives when she was just 24 years old. Daffodil Queen from Puyallup says she actually started campaigning at the age of four.

The Oldest Governor

The longest-living Governor in our nation's history was Washington's Al Rosellini. He took office during the Eisenhower Administration, and was friends with Frank Sinatra, John F Kennedy, and Harry Truman. We celebrated his 100th birthday with him in 2010.

The Largest Private Air & Space Museum

Seattle's Museum of Flight holds this world-record title. One of their exhibits also contains the fastest airliner ever flown -- the Concorder. These planes could cross the Atlantic in 3 hours, and contrary to popular belief, they did NOT fly in space.

The Largest Star Wars Collection

From his basement to the bedrooms, Gus Lopez' collection of Star Wars memorabilia is a shrine a lifetime in the making. He also may have the largest cereal box collection, with 1,300 from 75 countries.

The Spiciest Food

The Northwest's spiciest dish is in White Center! You know how you can usually choose your spice level for dishes on a sliding scale of 1-5? At The Crawfish House, you can get yours at a spice level of 20.

The Oldest Restaurant

Bellingham's Horseshoe cafe has stayed hot for more than a century. They've been serving up tasty fares since 1886, reportedly making them Washington's oldest continuously operating restaurant. Kudos!

The Largest Hat & Boots

This structure in Seattle's Georgetown neighborhood was originally part of a gas station in 1954. Recently refurbished, it's billed as the largest hat and boots in America.

The Hottest Elks Club

Elks Club #827 is having a resurgence in Ballard. They quickly went from having 13 members to over 400.

The Oldest Grocery

Even though it's small, it's easy to get lost in Carleton Avenue Grocery. Built as an inn in 1904, the original wood floors are more than a century-year-old. Soda pop comes primarily in glass, which you can enjoy using the same bottle opener that's been next to the door for... who KNOWS for how long.
