University Place, WA---A major golf championship is an unusual experience for many of us in the Pacific Northwest.
So Golf Marshall Hans shows us the ropes to conducting ourselves properly in the gallery.
We start with the classic golf clap. Not too loud. Not too soft, he says.
"Your bottom hand, you cup. And then you slap it lightly with your fingers," says Hans.
He adds that you may whistle if it's a real good shot.
"But never before they hit the ball."
Autographs are OK during practice rounds only.
"Not at all when the tournament actually starts."
He says the best autograph spot is at the practice range.
I ask Hans when I say "You the man!"
He says, "Never."
