LOS ANGELES — "Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector" features a New York City detective taking on a fugitive serial killer who left him paralyzed years before. We asked the show's star, Russell Hornsby, who previously starred in the Portland-based fantasy drama, "Grimm," about the challenge of now playing a character with limited mobility.
"Use the words," says Hornsby. "For tone, emphasis, coloring and all of those things. That's basically what I’m doing here, just focusing on the words, and allowing the words to engage the audience and engage the other actors."
Co-stars Arielle Kebbel and Michael Imperioli play fellow cops helping Lincoln with the hunt. Which of the three would make the best real-life crimefighter?
"Well, I do my own stunts," says Kebbel. "So, boom!"
"And she has youth," Hornsby adds with a smile.
"Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector" airs Friday nights at 8:00 on NBC.
