"Adopting Hope" gives three different perspectives on adoption

Benson talks to a birth parent, an adoptive parent and an adoptive child in her new book.

SEATTLE — Lorri Antosz Benson released her book "To Have and Not to Hold" in 2016 about the relationship that grew between her and her biological daughter's adoptive family. Little did Benson know, her book would give a voice to birth-parents, adoptive parents and adopted children who also wanted to share their stories.

The response was so overwhelming, Benson began writing a second book to chronicle the real-life stories of adoption people were empowered to share. Benson's new book "Adopting Hope" recounts tales of adoption from three different perspectives, an adoptive parent, a birth parent, and an adopted child, to explore the process and empower people in every position of the adoption triad. Benson joins New Day Northwest to talk about her book and the true tales of adoption.
