SEATTLE — Whether you prefer a natural look or want dramatic, glamorous fringe - false eyelashes can instantly elevate your look. But let's face it - they're not the easiest thing to put on, especially if you don't know what you're doing. Hair and makeup artist Kelby Blosser shares her tips for applying false eyelashes like a pro.
Step 1. Size the lashes
Before gluing the lashes on, you will need to make sure they are not too long for your eye. Hold the lash strips up against your eyelid, and trim them down on the sides if necessary. For easier application, consider trimming the lashes into three sections
Step 2. Apply lash glue
Apply a thin bead of eyelash glue to the band (base) of the eyelashes, then wait a few seconds for the glue to harden and become tacky.
Step 3. Fuse lashes together
With tweezers or your fingers, very precisely line the band as close to your lash line as possible. Fuse the lashes together with a curved lash applicator or tweezer. Gently clamp down to help them stay in place.
Step 4: Finish with eyeliner and mascara
