SEATTLE — Cello X began as an experiment of the group's director Peter Williams to push the boundaries of Cello playing. They play a broad range of tunes from hard rock to classical. The group has performed all over, at The Moore and ACT Theaters, for the Seattle Mariners, The Crocodile, The Triple Door, and recorded an album at Jack Straw Studios. Williams and five other Cellists join New Day Northwest to play a selection from Pirates of the Carribean and talk about what it really means to be a rock cello group.
Catch Cello X Tuesday, April 30, at the Triple Door, 216 Union Street, Seattle. The performance starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $12.00.
