Giving gifts to a plant-lover in your life? Expert gardener Ciscoe Morris has creative suggestions for stocking stuffers bound to please gardener this holiday season.
A Christmas Cactus is a festive plant perfect for gifting during the holiday season. You can find them at many local nurseries.
Although the cute hanging hedgehog is from England, you can find them at local garden art shows. Art shows, like Sorticulture held in Everett, offer a variety of handcrafted gifts like the durable glass butterfly featured in the video.
Ravenna Garden Store is a local favorite for plants and gardening gifts alike. Ciscoe bought the glass slug there, but the store has a variety of items for plant-lovers like books, gloves, and decorations.
The little glass snail was made by an artist in France by the name of Famulari S. Stefano C. Cisco loves these little glass snails, which can be placed in the garden or around your home.
Both the snail ornament and the bigger glass bug can be bought at the Bellevue Botanical Gardens, a great place to pick up a unique gardening gift this year.
For the stick on slugs, go to Green Bank Farm Cheese Store on Whidbey Island. They're super sticky and can be placed on most surfaces to surprise someone with a slug.
"Everyone needs a cool gargoyle," says Ciscoe. The decorative gargoyle can be found at The Gargoyle Statuary in Seattle; Ciscoe keeps his gargoyle near his computer for inspiration.
Ciscoe's custom t-shirts, featuring how to say "brussell sprouts" in different languages, are not for sale. However, you can win one since Ciscoe gives a t-shirt away at each talk he gives.
Not sure what to buy? Chocolate is always a safe bet. Fran's Chocolates is a local store with a wide variety of chocolate to suit even the most difficult people to buy for.
