However, ALD can be detected in newborn screening, offering families more hope for successful treatments.
"Ethan's Wish" shares the short but brilliant life of Ethan Zakes, a Bellevue boy who loved skateboarding, and the professional skateboarders who teamed up with Ethan's parents to raise awareness of ALD and raise the call to make the potentially life-saving screening mandatory for all newborn boys.
