An upcoming event aims to empower young men to excel, academically, socially, and most importantly, to help improve their sense of self-worth. The Black and Brown Male Summit at Highline College is entering its eighth year, and includes workshops, presentations, and motivational guest speakers.
Rashad Norris, Director of Community Outreach at Highline College and the event's creator, previewed this year's summit.
The 8th Annual Black and Brown Male Summit takes place Saturday, November 18, from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm at the Student Union, Building 8 on the Highline College Campus (2400 S. 240th St., Des Moines, WA 98198). Admission is free.
