SEATTLE — Here are Jennifer Jolly’s top picks from the Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas. Some of these items are not yet available to the general public.
Oclean X Ultra S Wi-Fi Toothbrush
This toothbrush talks to you — while it’s inside your mouth via bone conduction technology … to tell you you’re brushing too hard, or spending too much time on one side and not enough on another. There’s also a touchscreen on the front of the brush that gives you real-time feedback — it actually — shows your mouth and teeth and you can swipe through all kinds of other information. Expected to go on sale in the U.S. in August for $130.
XREAL Air 2 Pro AR glasses – Local Seattle based company!
The XREAL Air 2 Pro AR glasses turns whatever you’re watching — from a smartphone, computer, video game console, or TV — into a virtual big screen from up to almost 30-feet — through what looks like a pair of sunglasses. I love using these for watching movies on a flight, playing video games on the biggest screen possible, or working when I need multiple screens that only I can see. They plug into your other devices via USB-C — and even have a place to snap your prescription or over-the-counter reading glasses on the inside - genius.
On sale now starting at just under $450
Urtopia’s new Carbon 1Pro e-Bike is another just completely next-level upgrade — with on-board AI, LTE-connectivity, and even a ChatGPT assistant coming — for amazing adventures on road and off. There’s voice-control for the lights and speed. The bike can even sense where you’re riding — hills, trails, roads — and react with the “just right” level of assistance. It can go 80 miles on a single charge and at just 37 pounds, it’s super light for an e-bike. Out after March this year — on sale now for just under $2,500.

HOVERAir x1 Self-Flying Camera Drone
Pocket-sized (4.4 ounce) little drone that follows you around and takes photos or video. What’s cool here is how easy it is to set up and fly - can launch and land in the palm of your hand. It also has a gesture control features — so you can tell it what to do through simple arm movements. You can link it to an app on your smartphone or use autonomous flight modes and subject-tracking to let it do its thing without getting your way. Flys for about 10-minutes on a single charge.
Comes in black and white and it’s on sale now starting around $350
LG’S “Smart Home AI Agent” — CUTE LITTLE ROBOT FOR YOUR HOUSE
LG’s “Smart Home AI Agent” zooms around your house on its own — it can talk with you, interact, and express emotions through somewhat lifelike movements. It can wake you up in the morning, remind you to take your medicine, alsk if you need your heat turned up when it’s cold outside, greet you at the door when you come home, and so on. It can also integrate with all of your appliances like your oven, laundry, TV, and smart fridge — And it brings the fun: Onboard AI — LG calls it their “Affectionate Intelligence” technology — enables it to understand context and intentions, which means it gets more personalized over time. There’s no word on price or cost yet, but LG told us to expect them to launch “in the near future.”
… is the 4K 77-inch see-through TV that’s everyone’s still talking about. It’s transparent, as-in you can see right through it, even when there’s something on the screen. The OLED T has this shading technology — a dark screen rises up — transitioning from transparent to opaque and back again — with a tap click of a button. That means you can put it anywhere in a room — even in front of a window! Expect this out later this year; pricing is TBD.
