New car technology just keeps getting better -- from how our cars drive to how they communicate with us. For instance, one handy feature on many newer models of cars is the light on side mirrors that let you know another car is in your blind spot.
General sales manager at Mercedes-Benz of Seattle, Rob Hourani, revealed a refresh to the 2019 C-class. The intelligent drive features previously only found in the E-Class and S-Class models are now available in the 2019 C-class.
He also discussed Mercedes-Benz' new "Me Connect" system that allows you to connect your smartphone to your car with an app. It allows you to start your car remotely and do system checks on oil and brake fluid levels, which also lets you know when your car needs to be serviced.
The A-Class is another new compact line of car Mercedes will release in the spring of 2019. It will have the same safety features as the E and S classes, but also includes a new feature called the MBUX system (Mercedes-Benz user experience).
With MBUX, the car will listen and respond to any phrase you say that begins with "Hey, Mercedes." You can ask it for directions, the weather in other cities, and even control the temperature with simple phrases like "I'm hot" or "I'm cold."
"The system will automatically raise the temperature on the inside two degrees at a time," explained Rob. "It's a fantastic feature."
